How we met
Jason and I met on an internet chat line in Feb 2007.  After a short time of chatting we exchanged phone numbers and along with chatting on line would also text and phone each other.  About 2 weeks later Jason invited me to meet him in person; this meant a 300km trip to Adelaide just to meet him.  My thoughts on this were, I was never going to know if he was the right person for me in person, not just in the land of computers.

The weekend spent in Adelaide started something special.  Weekends after that were rarely spent alone as I would either travel to Adelaide or Jason would travel to Port Augusta.  We continued the long distance relationship for 2 years, even though some people thought it would not last.  During that time on October 11, 2007 Jason proposed to me.

Happy Planning
Planning the wedding could’ve proved difficult as we wanted to get married in Adelaide where the majority of our families live, and due to the distance I live from Adelaide meant I needed to be organized.  A lot of the preparations were done on line, but how does one organize their wedding dress online, fittings are needed etc.

Finding my dress
My mum and I had planned a day of dress hunting on one of my visits to Adelaide, our first stop La Novia Bride Edwardstown.  The staff were extremely helpful.  They really had the image of the bride in mind, they advised me on what style of dress would best suit my figure, and although I had planned to spend a day dress hunting, I found exactly what I wanted at La Novia Bride.  The staff at La Novia Bride were very accommodating to my needs in regards to appointments etc.  The experience was extremely positive, we even used the Edwardstown store for the bridesmaids dresses and for Jason’s suit.

Our special Day
Our special day was on valentines day 2009 and it was the most beautiful day we could have wished for.  The Adelaide Zoo proved to be a magical setting, even the weather cooled down for our day and the mosquitoes stayed away from our semi-outdoor reception, the rotunda at the Zoo.

Our Honeymoon
We honeymooned on the Gold Coast for a week and are no longer living in a long distance relationship.

My experience La Novia Bride and with married life so far, has been rewarding and pleasurable.
